Nuggets' Wilson Chandler (hip surgery) out for season

Denver Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler will receive season-ending hip surgery.

What It Means:

Chandler didn't play a minute for the Nuggets this season, but he is expected to make a full recovery in time for 2016. Danilo Gallinari will probably spend less time at the four as a result. This will likely be positive news for the values of Kostas Papanikolaou, Darrell Arthur and Will Barton, as well.

Chandler's 13.2 Player Efficiency Rating last season was his second-highest since joining the Nuggets, as were his 13.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. We projected him for an even better season scoring-wise with 14.7 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Chandler will be an unrestricted free agent next year.
