Free agent guard Yogi Ferrell has pivoted from his deal with the Dallas Mavericks and will re-enter the open market, reports Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.
"We felt uncomfortable and will weigh our options," said Ferrell's agent, Cervando Tejeda. It was reported on Thursday that the undersized shooting guard had agreed to re-sign with the Mavericks on a 2-year, $5.3 million contract, but perhaps Tejeda was able to swing a better deal.
Ferrell averaged 19.3 FanDuel points in 82 games (21 starts) for the Mavericks last season, with 10.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.8 steals, and 1.6 3-pointers on 42.6 percent shooting from the floor and 37.3 percent from beyond the arc.
