Spurs acquire Jakob Poeltl, protected 2019 first-rounder from Raptors in Kawhi deal
The San Antonio Spurs acquired power forward Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first-round pick in exchange for guard/forward Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Wojnarowski says the pick is top-20 protected for 2019 but that it will become a pair of second-round selections after one year. Poeltl, 22, was taken by the Raptors with the 9th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.
Poeltl averaged 17.3 FanDuel points in 82 games for the Raptors last season while recording 6.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.5 steals, and 1.2 blocks in 18.6 minutes per contest.
