Former Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan has verbally agreed to a one-year, $24M deal with the Dallas Mavericks, per Marc Stein of ESPN.
Jordan famously agreed to join the Mavericks three years ago before being talked into staying in L.A., but don't expect that to happen this time. Jordan joins a rebuilding Mavs' squad on a one year trial where he can be the defensive anchor the team has long been looking for since Tyson Chandler left years ago.
Jordan averaged a career-high 15.2 rebounds to go along with 12.0 points and 0.9 blocks per game in 2017-18.
