The New Orleans Pelicans and head coach Alvin Gentry have agreed to a two-year extension, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Gentry picked up his 2018-19 option prior to the playoffs, but this extension keeps him in New Orleans until 2020-21. Part of the extension will be performance-based, so Gentry will certainly be looking to build off of this year's success.
At 48-34, the Pelicans finished the season 10th in our power rankings. The franchise made it to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2007-08.
