Rodney Hood expected to see more minutes in Game 3 for Cleveland
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Rodney Hood is expected to see more time on the floor in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday, according to head coach Tyron Lue.
Hood has played just 7 minutes in the last 7 games, and only 4 in the NBA Finals. With the Cavs down 0-2, they are going to do all they can to keep the series alive on Wednesday and will "give Rodney a chance" to see what he can do, coach Lue told reporters. Extra minutes for Hood will likely come at the expense of J.R. Smith and Kyle Korver, as both have underwhelmed in the series so far.
Hood averaged 10.8 points and 1.2 three-pointers on 44.2% shooting from the floor with Cleveland during the regular season.
