Detroit Pistons guard Reggie Bullock will step into Jodie Meeks' role off the bench, head coach Stan Van Gundy said Thursday.
It's possible that Stanley Johnson could get some extra minutes, as well, but Van Gundy made it a point to say Bullock will have a larger role moving forward. Meeks is expected to miss six to eight weeks.
Meeks was slated for roughly 20 minutes per game, so it is definitely an increase in minutes for Bullock, who has never played more than nine minutes per game in his two-year career. He averaged 1.9 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists last season with the Phoenix Suns.
