The Orlando Magic have signed Steve Clifford to a four-year deal to become the team's next head coach.
After being let go by the Charlotte Hornets less than two months ago, Clifford drew interviews from the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns. Ultimately, he'll return to Orlando, where he was an assistant coach from 2007 to 2012 under Stan Van Gundy. Clifford has his work cut out for him with a young team with a lot of question marks.
This season, the Magic went 25-57 and ranked as the 25th-ranked team in our end-of-season power rankings. They own the sixth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.
