Cavs expected to start Tristan Thompson in Game 2 on Tuesday
Cleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson is expected to join the starting lineup for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics.
Head coach Tyronn Lue told reporters he liked how Thompson performed against Celtics' center Al Horford, citing specific advanced stats. Thompson limited Horford to 0 points when on the court at the same time while adding 8 points and 11 rebounds in just 21 minutes of play. If Thompson joins the starting five, Kevin Love would slide down to power forward with Kyle Korver likely the odd man out and heading to the bench.
Thompson has averaged 5.2 points and 5.1 rebounds in 16.4 minutes per game this postseason.
