The Detroit Pistons and head coach/President of Basketball Operations Stan Van Gundy have parted ways, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Wojnarowski tweets the Pistons will now being their search for a new head coach and new President of Basketball Operations, as the two positions will now be separate. Van Gundy guided the team to a 39-43 record last season and made the playoffs once during his four-year tenure in Detroit.
Van Gundy went 152-176 (.463) while with the Pistons and was swept in his lone playoff appearance.
