Joel Embiid scores 31 points for 76ers in Game 1 loss
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid scored 31 points (12-of-21 field goals, 5-of-6 free throws) with 13 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, 2 3-pointers, and 3 turnovers in 35.0 minutes of Monday's 117-101 Game 1 loss to the Boston Celtics.
Embiid also went 2-for-5 from beyond the arc but he struggled to keep up with Al Horford outside the paint in a matchup where the 76ers were simply outmatched. They will look to bounce back in Game 2 on Thursday.
