Raptors' Fred VanVleet (shoulder) ruled out for Game 1 against the Wizards
Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet will not play in Saturday's Game 1 matchup against the Washington Wizards.
According to TSN Sports' Josh Lewenberg, VanVleet's shoulder is fine for the long-term, but he has still to be cleared to play. Coach Dwane Casey said he won't be out long and that "he feels so much better today, without pain." For now, Delon Wright will get more time with the possibility that Kyle Lowry sees closer to 35 minutes.
VanVleet is averaging 20.0 minutes and 18.8 FanDuel points per game this season. He was projected for 17.9 FD points before being ruled out.
