Paxson: Kris Dunn will return as Bulls' starting point guard
Chicago Bulls vice president of basketball operations John Paxson said that point guard Kris Dunn would return as the team's starter for the 2018-19 season.
Paxson said, "I feel really good about going into the next season with [Kris] Dunn as our starter and [Cameron] Payne as our backup." Down the stretch, Dunn was held out due to a toe injury, but when healthy he's the guy in Chicago. Payne played well and will serve as a good backup barring a dropoff from Dunn. It would appear that Jerian Grant is no longer in the team's future plans.
Dunn averaged 13.4 points, 6.0 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 29.3 minutes per game and 52 games in 2017-18.
