Lauri Markkanen (back, rest) will not play Saturday for Bulls
Chicago Bulls forward Lauri Markkanen (back) will be rested on Saturday against the Detroit Pistons.
Markkanen returned from a five-game absence on Friday with 22 minutes for the Bulls in a loss. However, Chicago will play it safe with their rookie on Saturday and hold him out instead of playing him on the second night of a back to back. It's probably caution and tanking from the Bulls to hold Markkanen out, but without him on Saturday, Bobby Portis and Noah Vonleh will gain some playing time.
Markkanen is averaging 27.4 FanDuel points per game this season.
