Dallas Mavericks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. (ankle) is hoping to return on Saturday against the Charlotte Hornets.
What It Means:
Smith, who sprained his ankle on Saturday, will miss a second straight game tonight versus the Utah Jazz but it sounds like that could be the extent of his absence. J.J. Barea (10 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assists) and Yogi Ferrell (15 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists) both benefitted on Tuesday with DSJ on the bench.
