Derrick Rose (eye) unlikely to play during Bulls' preseason
Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose (eye) is "about a week away" from returning to practice, and it's unlikely he plays in any of the Bulls' remaining preseason games, according to head coach Fred Hoiberg.
Rose is yet to be cleared to return to practice after suffering an orbital fracture. This should increase anxiety over whether or not Rose will be able to play in the team's season opener.
Because of the recent durability issues, our projections have topped Rose out at 64 games this season. In those games, they see him averaging 17.98 points, 5.89 assists, 3.88 rebounds, and 0.84 steals per game. Coming off of a season in which he had a 97 Offensive Rating, Rose has a lot to prove, and a delay in the start of his season won't help that cause.
