Alex Len (right ankle sprain) out Tuesday for Suns
Phoenix Suns center Alex Len (right ankle sprain) has been ruled out for Tuesday's preseason game against the Houston Rockets.
Len dealt with issues in the same ankle last year and had surgery on it back in 2013. He should be ready for the start of the regular season, but this isn't a great start for his season.
Len will enter the season ranked 72nd in nERD at 0.7. Given his expected reserve role behind Tyson Chandler, our projections see him averaging 7.11 points, 6.42 rebounds, and 1.67 blocks per game on the year. Len took big strides in his second season, improving his Offensive Rating to 107 from 92 in his rookie campaign. If he can stay healthy, he and Chandler should form a decent combo in the Suns' front court.
