Miami Heat forward James Johnson came through with a career-high 31 points on 13-for-17 shooting Monday, to go with 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block in Monday's double-overtime win against the Denver Nuggets.
What It Means:
Johnson has been very impressive since Hassan Whiteside went down with a hip injury, and Monday brought it all together for the Heat's big man. Johnson could continue to see more playing time and usage until Whiteside returns, but he's playing so well it might be hard for Erik Spoelstra to cut back his minutes even when Whiteside comes back.
