Nicolas Batum (Achilles) ruled out for Hornets on Monday
Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Nicolas Batum's MRI revealed chronic tendinitis in his left Achilles and he will not play against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday.
What It Means:
This comes from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, who says Batum's return "will be based on how he responds to treatment." The Hornets are 7.0 games out of the playoffs with 12 contests left on the calendar. Jeremy Lamb stands to benefit the most with Batum on the shelf. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Dwayne Bacon, and Treveon Graham could also see a boost.
