Dennis Smith Jr. ruled out for Mavericks on Tuesday due to ankle sprain
Dallas Mavericks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. (left ankle sprain) has been ruled out for Tuesday's road matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans.
Smith sprained his ankle during Saturday's loss to the Brooklyn Nets and arrived in New Orleans still in a walking boot. The Mavericks are focused on the future and will likely handle their talented rookie with extreme caution. If J.J. Barea (ribs) joins Smith on the sidelines, then Yogi Ferrell could be in for a big night.
DSJ is averaging 27.5 FanDuel points per game in his rookie campaign.
