Celtics' Daniel Theis suffers torn meniscus, will undergo season-ending surgery
Boston Celtics power forward Daniel Theis will undergo season-ending surgery after suffering a torn left meniscus in Sunday's 99-97 loss to the Indiana Pacers.
What It Means:
Theis received an MRI on Monday morning after getting hit in his leg during Sunday's loss. The 25-year-old undrafted rookie averaged 14.8 minutes per game off the bench for the Celtics this season. Greg Monroe, Aron Baynes, and Marcus Morris will likely all pitch in to help fill the void moving forward.
Theis averaged 14.7 FanDuel points per game this season, with 5.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.5 blocks per contest.
