Bulls' Cameron Payne (foot) will serve as backup point guard in second half
Chicago Bulls point guard Cameron Payne is set to serve as the team's backup point guard over the second half of the season.
According to the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson, Bulls VP John Paxson suggested that Jerian Grant will no longer be a part of the usual rotation and that the team will see what they have in Payne. The 23-year-old has yet to play this season after undergoing foot surgery in September.
For his two-year career, Payne is averaging just 5 points per game on 37.8% from the floor and 32% from deep. He's projected for 4.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game the rest of the season.
