Marco Belinelli officially signs with the 76ers, but not expected to play on Monday
The Philadelphia 76ers have officially signed guard Marco Belinelli to a contract for the rest of the season.
Belinelli was waived by the Atlanta Hawks after they were unable to find a trade partner for the veteran sharpshooter. He will serve primarily in a reserve role behind J.J. Redick and Robert Covington on the wing. His presence will limit Jerryd Bayless' minutes the rest of the year. While Belinelli is in Philadelphia and technically available to play on Monday, he is not expected to.
Belinelli has averaged 11.4 points, 2.0 assists, 1.8 three-pointers, and 18.4 FanDuel points in 23.3 minutes per game this season.
