Pelicans waive Mike James
The New Orleans Pelicans have waived point guard Mike James.
The Pelicans signed James to a two-way contract back on January 13th. He had previously played for the Phoenix Suns, as he became the first player to go from a two-way contract to a regular contract without being sent to the G League in the process. He's signed a deal with Panathinaikos Athens of the Greek league. He had previously played for the team in 2016.
Across his two stops, James averaged 9.3 points, 3.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds over 36 games and 19.1 minutes per game.
