The Sacramento Kings are reportedly planning on waiving center Georgios Papagiannis, per Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.
Papagiannis was reportedly being shopped before the deadline, but the Kings found no takers. The big man was a surprise pick when Sacramento took him with the 13th overall selection in 2016, and he has failed to make an impact so far. Papagiannis could sign a two-way contract with a rebuilding team or return to Europe for a few years.
Papagiannis played in just 16 games, averaging 2.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.4 blocks in only 7.4 minutes per game this season.
