Jazz to release recently acquired Derrick Rose
The Utah Jazz will release point guard Derrick Rose, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania.
Rose was acquired from the Cavaliers in a three-team deal involving Utah's Rodney Hood. His release will allow him to pursue signing with a playoff team. The Minnesota Timberwolves are rumored to be interested in adding him after he clears waivers. In Utah, Ricky Rubio, Donovan Mitchell and Raul Neto will serve as the point guards.
Rose's -1.6 nERD is worse than his -2.9 mark a year ago. He's played just 16 games with the Cavaliers in 2017-18.
