Shabazz Muhammad requests trade, release from Timberwolves
Minnesota Timberwolves guard/forward Shabazz Muhammad has requested to be traded or released prior to Thursday's NBA trade deadline.
What It Means:
Muhammad has fallen out of the rotation in Minnesota. In fact, he didn't play much as Nemanja Bjelica and Marcus Georges-Hunt received the bulk of the minutes with Jimmy Butler sidelined over a week ago. There is a chance that we see Muhammad released, but there's probably no incentive for a team to trade for a guy who will hit restricted free agency following the season.
Muhammad is averaging 9.6 minutes and 6.4 FanDuel points on the season.
