Phoenix Suns point guard Isaiah Canaan suffered a fractured left ankle as he went down with a gruesome injury in Wednesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks.
Canaan suffered an injury that looked similar to Gordon Hayward's. He will be out for the remainder of the year and facing a long road back to full health. Tyler Ulis, Troy Daniels and Devin Booker will see more playing time in his absence.
In 20 games with the Rockets and Suns, Canaan averaged 8.6 points, 3.8 assists and 1.1 threes per game.
