Hornets' Kemba Walker says he would be 'pretty upset' if he's traded

Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker said that if he were traded he would be "pretty upset."

What It Means:

An ESPN report said that the Hornets are fielding trade inquiries on their star point guard. The hope is that they can get a bright, young player or a first-round pick (plus other assets). Having spent his entire career with Charlotte, Walker values his time with the team and is very active in the community. Staying with one team would be a "special thing" in his eyes. Coach Steve Clifford added that it would be hard for him to imagine trading him.

Through 41 games, Walker is averaging 21.7 points, 5.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 34.5 minutes per game this season. He ranks as the 13th-best guard in the league, per our current power rankings.
