Miami rules out Tyler Johnson (ankle) for Wednesday
Miami Heat guard Tyler Johnson (ankle) will not suit up for Wednesday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
This isn't any sort of a surprise, as despite avoiding serious injury, Johnson is expected to be sidelined "for at least the short term". Wayne Ellington played every single minute after Johnson went down with the injury early in the third quarter on Monday, and he stands to see a big bump in playing time until Johnson returns. Goran Dragic and Josh Richardson could also see slight increases in playing time.
Johnson is averaging 12.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game this season. His .510 effective field goal percentage and 19.0% usage rate are both the second-highest marks of his career.
