Spurs' Pau Gasol playing through hand injury

San Antonio Spurs forward/center Pau Gasol revealed after Monday's 102-99 loss to the Atlanta Hawks that he's been dealing with a right (shooting) hand injury.

What It Means:

"I can't really bend it much," Gasol said. "It's been building up. I jammed it and it's been a little swollen. I decided to play." It sounds like something the veteran can play through, but knowing how the Spurs handle these things, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Gasol held out against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. If so, that would likely open up additional minutes for Davis Bertans and Joffrey Lauvergne.

Pau is averaging 26.9 FanDuel points across 43 games this season, with 10.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game.
