Kings' Nik Stauskas diagnosed with tibia stress reaction
Philadelphia 76ers guard Nik Stauskas has been diagnosed with a right tibia stress reaction, and he will miss at least two weeks.
This is the same injury that has hampered both Bradley Beal and Jrue Holiday in the past, and those guys each dealt with its recurrence at least once in the recovery process. Coach Brett Brown said the Sixers will bring Stauskas along "slowly," meaning he'll almost certainly be limited to begin the year. Hollis Thompson and Jerami Grant could see more time with Stauskas sidelined.
Stauskas, acquired by the 76ers this offseason, averaged 4.4 points and 1.2 rebounds as a rookie last year with the Sacramento Kings. A 3-point shooter in college, Stauskas connected on just 32 percent of his 3-point tries in 2014-'15.
