Kings' Frank Mason (foot) to be sidelined 3-5 more weeks
Sacramento Kings point guard Frank Mason has a partial tear of his plantar fascia and will miss an additional 3-to-5 weeks, reports James Ham of NBC Sports.
Mason originally injured his heel back on December 31st. He continued to deal with soreness, so the team sent him for an MRI, which revealed the tear. He's out 4-to-6 weeks from that December 31st date, which means that he'll return near the end of the month, at the earliest. George Hill and De'Aaron Fox will split the point minutes until his return.
Through 29 games, Mason has made 2 starts and averaged 7.6 points, 2.9 assists and 2.1 rebounds in 18.6 minutes a game.
