Nets' D'Angelo Russell (knee) won't play Wednesday night
Brooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell will not play on Wednesday, reports BrooklynNets.com's Alex Labidou.
Russell's been out since November 11th after suffering a knee injury early in the season. He recently got in a practice with the team's G-League affiliate, so it looks like a return could be on the horizon. It won't come Wednesday, but the Nets have games on Friday and Saturday, too. When Russell's back, it remains to be seen if he'll start alongside Spencer Dinwiddie. Caris LeVert should remain a key ball-handler before and after Russell's return.
In 12 starts, Russell has put together averages of 20.9 points, 5.7 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game. He's projected for 16.7 points, 5.7 assists and 3.9 rebounds over 32.2 minutes a game the rest of the season.
