Cavaliers' Derrick Rose (ankle) could return on current road trip
Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue said that Derrick Rose (ankle) could return during his team's current road trip.
The Cavs play Saturday night in Orlando before swinging through Minnesota on Monday, Toronto on Thursday before wrapping up the trip Friday in Indiana. Lue told reporters that when he returns, Rose will take minutes and games away from Dwyane Wade. Lue wants to prevent both Wade and Isaiah Thomas from playing in back-to-backs, which will open up some playing time for Rose. "I haven't had any pain, I haven't had any setbacks," Rose said. "If anything I've been progressing every day and every week, so I'm on the right track."
Rose is averaging 18.5 FanDuel points per game so far this season.
