Phoenix Suns guard Mike James has been released according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.
James had fallen out of favor in Phoenix as Isaiah Canaan has passed him up as the backup to Tyler Ulis at the point. James had a strong start to the season, earning himself a contract for the rest of the season but now will be looking for a new team. Don't expect the rookie to be out of work too long.
James averaged 10.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 20.9 minutes per game this season.
