Derrick Favors (eye) will not play Saturday for Jazz

Utah Jazz forward/center Derrick Favors (eye laceration) is not available to play on Saturday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

What It Means:

Favors got six stitches above his left eye on Friday, which forced him to leave the game early. Apparently the Utah medical staff is not ready to clear him for action, and with Rudy Gobert (knee) also out for the next 2-to-4 weeks, Ekpe Udoh could see big minutes at center on Saturday. Jonas Jerebko could also see a boost in playing time.

Our models project Favors for averages of 12.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.2 blocks over 28.1 minutes per game remaining this season.
