Miami's Wayne Ellington hits 7 threes in loss to Portland

Miami Heat shooting guard Wayne Ellington knocked down 7-of-10 threes and finished with 24 points in Wednesday's 102-95 loss at the hands of the Portland Trail Blazers.

What It Means:

Tyler Johnson sat out Wednesday's game due to migraines, so Ellington took over his sixth man role of sorts off the bench. Not so surprisingly, he excelled in that role, hitting 8-of-11 from the floor and added another point via the free throw line. In his 31 minutes, his four rebounds and two steals also helped to keep the Heat close in this one.

At the minimum of $3,500, Ellington's 36.8 FanDuel points came at a value of 10.51 FD points per $1,000. It was his most productive fantasy showing of the year, but Johnson's health will dictate his involvement on Friday against the Charlotte Hornets. He's projected for 14.2 FD points and 21.2 minutes at this time.
