Pelicans' Rajon Rondo plays 18 minutes, disappoints Wednesday night

New Orleans Pelicans point guard Rajon Rondo was limited to five points, three assists and three rebounds in just 18 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

What It Means:

After putting up two straight big-time games -- including a triple-double on Monday -- Rondo was either ineffective, tired or a combination of the two. His 18 minutes were the lowest since November 15th as Jameer Nelson returned from injury to log nearly 30 minutes off the bench. On the bright side, Rondo did add two steals and a block to make his line look a tad better.

Rondo's final of 19.1 FanDuel points were his lowest in 7 games. The same goes for his 3.29x value. If you're expecting a quick turnaround, our models say not to as we project Rondo for only 23.9 minutes and 21.9 FanDuel points in a Friday night meeting with the Denver Nuggets.
