Grizzlies' Marc Gasol not planning to request trade
Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol does not plan to ask management to trade him this season.
What It Means:
Gasol said, "I have a responsibility to this city... as long as [owner] Robert [Pera] wants me here... that's all I need." Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace has also said that the team isn't looking to move on from Gasol. Though the 32-year-old did note that he'd accept a trade if it would be best for everyone involved. If he remains in place, Gasol could certainly be rested if the Grizzlies are out of the hunt down the stretch.
numberFire's models project Gasol to average 19.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.7 blocks over 35.8 minutes the rest of the season.
