Nets could use post more with addition of Jahlil Okafor

Brooklyn Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson suggested that the team could operate more through the post with center Jahlil Okafor.

What It Means:

The Nets added Okafor via trade on Thursday. He hasn't made his debut yet and is expected to be brought along slowly. However, when he gets on the court, it's clear that the Nets will have to alter their run-and-gun style a bit. Okafor's skillset will allow him to be a facilitator from down low. Tyler Zeller and Jarrett Allen are likely to see reduced minutes with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson more likely to stay at power forward upon Okafor's debut.

Over 22.3 minutes a game, we project Okafor to average 10.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game in 46 games the rest of the season.
