Evan Fournier (ankle) sprains ankle in win, ruled out for Magic on Friday
Orlando Magic guard/forward Evan Fournier sprained his ankle in overtime of Wednesday's 110-106 win over the Atlanta Hawks, and he's already been ruled out for Friday's game against the Denver Nuggets.
The team is still awaiting MRI results but it looks like Fournier could be looking at an extended absence. If so, D.J. Augustin should benefit immediately while Jonathan Isaac's role figures to grow. Arron Afflalo may also see more opportunity. Fournier scored 27 points (12-of-21 field goals, 2-of-3 3-pointers) with 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 2 turnovers in 40.8 minutes on Wednesday.
Fournier scored 37.3 FanDuel points on Wednesday, and he's averaging 28.9 FanDuel points per game this season. It's the second time in the past three games he topped 35.0 FanDuel points.
