Orlando's Terrence Ross (knee) diagnosed with sprained MCL, fracture and is out indefinitely

Orlando Magic guard/forward Terrence Ross has been diagnosed with a sprained right MCL and a non-displaced fracture of his right tibial plateau, according to an announcement from President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman.

What It Means:

Ross suffered the injury in the second quarter of Wednesday's win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. He is out indefinitely and is likely to miss "a significant amount of time." When he returns will be dependent on the healing process and how he responds to treatment. Jonathon Simmons will remain in the starting lineup and play big minutes with Ross out. Arron Afflalo and Mario Hezonja could also be asked to do more going forward.

Ross has averaged 26.2 minutes a game over all 22 games, including 20 starts, this season. He has scored in double-digits on nine occasions and has averaged 9 points per game for Orlando.
