Nuggets' Paul Millsap (wrist) out indefinitely after surgery

Denver Nuggets forward Paul Millsap had surgery on Sunday to reconstruct ligaments in his left wrist, and he's expected to miss "the next several months."

What It Means:

The press release noted that his return will be dependent on, "consistent assessment throughout the rehab process," so it looks like the earliest we could see Millsap again is after the All Star Break. Trey Lyles and Kenneth Faried could see some extra run without Millsap, while Juan Hernangomez could also earn some extra minutes.

numberFire's models project Millsap to average 21.8 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists a night over 22 games the rest of the season.
