Nuggets say Paul Millsap (wrist) still mulling surgery

Denver Nuggets forward/center Paul Millsap has been diagnosed with an injury to a ligament in his left wrist and he's currently evaluating all of his treatment options.

What It Means:

According to Shams Charania of The Vertical and Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Millsap already opted for surgery and was looking at 2-3 months on the shelf, but apparently no such decision has been made. Kenneth Faried started in Millsap's place against the Sacramento Kings on Monday, and his absence should lead to more opportunity for Will Barton, Gary Harris, Nikola Jokic, and Jamal Murray.

Millsap is averaging 32.1 FanDuel points across 16 games this season. Without knowing the extent of the injury, numberFire's models currently project him to record 21.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 0.8 3-pointers, 1.5 steals, 0.6 blocks, and 2.9 turnovers on 48.3 percent from the field and 27.7 percent from deep over the remainder of the year.
