Danilo Gallinari (glute) expected to miss 7-10 more days for Clippers
Los Angeles Clippers small forward Danilo Gallinari (left glute strain) said he expects to miss another 7-10 days, reports Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times.
“My guess is a week to 10 days is when I’ll be back,†Gallinari said. “At least that’s my hope. I wish it could be sooner, but it’s not working out that way.†The 2008 lottery pick has been out the past seven games due to the glute issue. “It’s discomfort now,†he said. “Since it’s a tear, you’ve got to wait for the fibers to kind of get back together and you’ve got to strengthen it. So now I just started barely running on the ... [treadmill] machine. That’s it.â€
Gallinari is averaging 24.1 FanDuel points in nine games this season. numberFire's models project him for 21.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.7 3-pointers, and 1.4 turnovers on a 45.9 field goal percentage and 44.4 3-point percentage in 34.4 minutes per game over the remainder of the year.
