Nicolas Batum (elbow) expected to make season debut Wednesday for Hornets
Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Nicolas Batum (elbow) "should" play on Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.
Batum made it through a full-court 5-on-5 scrimmage on Sunday, and if all goes well during another one today, he should be good to go Wednesday for his first game of the season. Owners should probably expect Batum to be brought along slowly after the extended absence.
Once in action, numberFire's models project Batum to record 15.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.0 steals, 2.0 3-pointers, and 2.6 turnovers on 43.0 percent shooting from the field and 35.9 percent shooting from deep.
