Pelicans release Josh Smith
The New Orleans Pelicans have released veteran forward Josh Smith, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania.
Smith was signed under a hardship exception on October 28th, but he played in just three games, and logging 12 total minutes in the process. If anything, this solidifies Anthony Davis' heavy minutes while clearing room for Dante Cunningham and Cheick Diallo to backup at the four spot in New Orleans.
In his limited time, Smith produced just 2 points and 4 rebounds. The 31-year-old has now appeared with 5 different teams in his 13-year career.
