Clippers' Austin Rivers (ankle) says he'll play Friday night

Los Angeles Clippers guard Austin Rivers said that he'll play Friday against the Atlanta Hawks.

What It Means:

Rivers said, "I'm gonna play" and that he was dealing more with more discomfort than pain, reports The Oklahoman's Erik Horne. Earlier, his father and head coach Doc Rivers said that he was more "50-50" after spraining his left ankle in Thursday's practice. If the son wins out, Rivers would definitely provide the Clippers with a boost. They'll already be without Patrick Beverley (knee) and Danilio Gallinari (glute) while Lou Williams starts for Beverley.

Rivers is projected for 24.1 FanDuel points in 36 minutes of action on Friday. His $5,900 price is his highest of the season to date.
