Steven Adams suffers a right calf contusion Thursday in Thunder loss
Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams suffered a right calf contusion on Thursday and will be re-evaluated on Friday.
Adams suffered the injury on Thursday against the Denver Nuggets in the fourth quarter and was unable to return. If he's out, the Thunder would likely go small with a lot of Jerami Grant at the five. It could also mean more minutes for Patrick Patterson, Andre Roberson, and Raymond Felton. Oklahoma City hosts the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.
Adams finished with 9 points, 11 rebounds, 1 block, and 1 turnover on 4-of-10 field goals and 1-of-2 free throws in 30.0 minutes versus the Nuggets. He finished with 24.2 FanDuel points and is now averaging 30.8 per game for the season.
